USP PRE-COP 30
The year 2025 will mark a turning point in global discussions about the future of our planet. By hosting COP30, focused on the Amazon and the challenges of environmental preservation, Brazil reaffirms its position as a leading actor in international sustainability agendas.
In this context, the University of São Paulo (USP) will host the PRE-COP30 Event on November 6–7, 2025, at the University Campus in São Paulo. The initiative precedes the Belém conference and aims to broaden the dialogue on the transformations required to build an environmentally balanced and socially just future.
The event will provide a space for reflection, dialogue, and collaboration among different sectors of society — academia, government, the private sector, and civil society — bringing together experts, researchers, and leaders engaged in advancing sustainability.
Throughout the event, participants will explore experiences, initiatives, and perspectives focused on climate change mitigation, energy transition, and the enhancement of biodiversity, in alignment with the international commitments undertaken by Brazil.
The PRE-COP30 Event thus represents a unique opportunity for mobilization and cooperation around a shared agenda: strengthening the foundations for a sustainable, inclusive, and resilient development model.
